3rd AGSNet Conference

Final Announcement

The Steering Committee of the Africa Graduate Nutrition Students Network (AGSNet) invites you to attend the 3rd Biennial Conference of the African Graduate Nutrition Students Network which has been tentatively fixed for the 4th of October 2009 to coincide with the 19th International Congress of Nutrition which will be held in Bangkok from 4th-9th October 2009.

To qualify for AGSNet support for sponsorship, your abstract should be accepted by the organisers of the 19th International Congress of Nutrition (ICN 2009). In addition you should meet the AGSNet criteria for attending meetings/conferences.


 

Highlights of the AGS-Net Inaugural Conference:

The African Nutrition Graduate Students Network held its Inaugural Conference at the Beach Hotel in Durban, South Africa on September 19, 2005. The Conference was attended by thirty nine members from 13 African countries studying in 19 universities world wide.

Members present also had the opportunity to participate in the 19th International Congress of Nutrition which was held at the Durban International Convention Centre, Durban, South Africa from the 19th to 23rd September, 2005.

ANEC III 2008

The 3rd Africa Nutritional Epidemiology Conference (ANEC) will take place from 12th to 16th October, 2008 in Cairo, Egypt. (Click here for more details)

ANEC is a key strategic partner of the AGSNet. ANEC provides a platform for The Africa Graduates in Nutrition Network (AGSNet) in recognition of the key leadership roles that the network plays in both promoting and moving the Africa nutrition agenda forward.

AGSNet is happy to announce that an impressive number of members will be presenting at the ANEC III Conference. Some of our members will also chair some of the sessions of the conference
